Touted as the heaviest switch in Akko’s CS series with a 50g actuation force, the Akko CS Jelly Black is a budget-friendly linear switch with a clacky sound profile and a dustproof stem, much like the CS Starfish. How affordable is it? Well, it costs less than RM1 per switch.

Although the Jelly Black doesn’t get the Starfish’s two-stage spring, it still has a long 22mm spring. This makes for a “snappy” typing experience with stronger, more responsive upstrokes. Pushing down on the switch from the very top of the downstroke requires more force as well thanks to the long spring – a typing characteristic some folks may be fond of.
