Aside from the budget-friendly Realme Pad, the Chinese company also launched the Realme GT Neo 2 smartphone in Malaysia. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with a 120Hz screen, it’s a reasonably capable smartphone.
For the Malaysian market, only one variant of the GT Neo 2 is offered. Packed with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM, it’s priced at RM2,199. If you purchase it on the first day of sale on 11 November, you can get a RM200 discount, bringing down the price of the phone to RM1,999.
As mentioned, the GT Neo 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is essentially a faster version of the Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s flagship chipset last year. Paired with the phone’s 120Hz 6.62-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED screen, along with a 600Hz touch sampling rate, it’s quite a good device for avid mobile gamers.
Other specifications of the GT Neo 2 include a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 16MP selfie camera, as well as a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
The Realme GT Neo 2 will be available for purchase in Malaysia next week on 11 November from Shopee as well as Lazada. To reiterate, you can get the phone with a RM200 discount on that day, bringing down the price to RM1,999.
