Aside from launching a brand new variant of the Honda City – the V Sensing model – the Japanese carmaker also revealed the sales figure of the popular B-segment sedan in Malaysia. Since its launch in October 2020, over 23,300 units of the City have been sold locally.
In fact, between January to October 2021, the City accounts for 34% of Honda Malaysia’s total sales. According to the carmaker, this makes the City the brand’s best-selling model. “On behalf of the company, we are truly humbled by the continuous trust as well as support we have received from fellow Malaysians,” said the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Madoka Chujo.
Now with the addition of the City V Sensing model, we reckon sales of the B-segment sedan will see further growth, not to mention the plethora of discounts given by Honda Malaysia. To recap, the E trim is discounted by RM4,000, while the S, V, and RS variants get a RM3,000 rebate. There’s also a RM2,000 discount for the new V Sensing trim.
