Honda Malaysia just introduced a new variant of the popular Honda City. Dubbed City V Sensing, the new model is basically…the City V trim with the addition of Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance safety systems.
So how much does the new City V Sensing cost? A cool RM90,212.36 with sales tax exemption applied until 30 June 2022. For the sake of comparison, the regular City V currently goes for RM86,561.45, so you’re paying exactly RM3,650.91 more for the V Sensing trim.
Honda Sensing is quite a big addition to the City V Sensing. The system includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB).
Aside from the addition of Honda Sensing, the City V Sensing also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster instead of an analogue one. Beyond these two upgrades, other equipment of this new model are the exact same as the standard V model.
It’s still powered by the same 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that outputs 121PS and 145Nm of torque, and it is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The City V Sensing also gets six airbags, Honda LaneWatch, 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Honda City V Sensing is now available for booking in Malaysia. If you’re interested to get it, you can place your booking online here. Alternatively, bookings can be done through the HondaTouch app as well – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Do note that the City V Sensing also gets a RM2,000 discount now as part of Honda’s Joy of Zero year-end deal.
