Honda Malaysia just introduced a new variant of its popular C-segment SUV. Dubbed Honda CR-V Black Edition, it’s basically an all-black version of the SUV – even the interior is finished in the same colour scheme.
The CR-V Black Edition is based on the 1.5L TC-P 2WD variant, which goes for RM157,615.91 with sales tax exemption applied until 31 December 2021. This all-black model, on the other hand, costs slightly more at RM161,913.99 (without sales tax, of course). Basically, you’re paying exactly RM4,298.08 more.
For that kind of money, the CR-V Black Edition has a number of differences. It features a black front grille, black bumper garnish, along with black 18-inch alloy wheels. There are still some chrome accents to give the SUV some contrast, which looks quite nice (in our opinion).
Inside, the CR-V Black Edition continues the…black colour scheme. The steering wheel, digital meter, and air-conditioning are in piano black; even the wood garnishes in the interior are finished in the same black colourway. To complete the look, the front seats have a “Black Edition” embroidery.
Beyond these aesthetic changes, other equipment of the CR-V Black Edition are the same as the 1.5L TC-P 2WD variant. These include a 1.5L DOHC VTEC turbocharged engine with 193PS and 243Nm of torque – paired to a CVT – a powered tailgate, Honda LaneWatch, and of course, Honda Sensing suite of safety features.
The Honda CR-V Black Edition is now available for booking in Malaysia. You can place a booking for the C-segment SUV online over here, or through the HondaTouch app – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
