The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is set to receive an update starting today, which will add a number of new features. These include improved Fall Detection, new watchfaces, and even a new gesture control.
Let’s start with the new watchfaces for the Galaxy Watch 4. There are four of them: Info Brick (it displays specific stats that you have selected), Basic Dashboard, Weather Center, and Live Wallpaper. Naturally, these watchfaces are also customisable.
Aside from that, there’s a new “knock knock” gesture for the Galaxy Watch 4 too, which can be set to open a specific app or feature. As for the improved Fall Detection, it will be able to detect a fall even if you’re standing still now. Previously, it can only detect if you had fallen down during an exercise.
This new update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will start rolling out to the Bluetooth-only version first starting today; the LTE model will get the update “shortly thereafter.” If you’d like to learn more about the Watch 4, check out our review of the smartwatch right here.
