In line with Acer’s commitment to sustainable operations, the Taiwanese company introduced the Acer Aspire Vero, a laptop that is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Not only is it touted as a green product, it also looks to be a decent productivity-focused laptop.
According to Acer, the chassis of the Aspire Vero is composed of 30% PCR plastic, which cuts CO2 emissions by 21% for the production of this particular part. The laptop’s keycaps also contain 50% PCR plastic, and even the 100% recyclable packaging of the laptop can be repurposed as a laptop stand – talk about functionality.

Aside from that, the Aspire Vero features a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS screen – which is said to be 99% recyclable – along with three choices of 11th gen Intel processors: a Core i3-1115G4, Core i5-1155G7, or Core i7-1195G7 chip. These processors are paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
The Acer Aspire Vero is set to be available in China and EMEA markets sometime this month; it starts at 4,999 Chinese yuan (about RM3,230) in the former region. At the time of writing, it’s not known yet if the Aspire Vero will also be available in Malaysia.
