As COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease throughout Malaysia, it’s even more important now to adhere to SOPs to keep the virus at bay. If you notice any premise that’s not following SOP, you will be able to report it through MySejahtera soon.
This was revealed by Khairy Jamaluddin, the Minister of Health, through a Twitter post. He even demonstrated how the new feature would work through a screen recording, which looks to be quite simple.
Just click on the report icon, pick an option – such as no social distancing or visitors are not properly screened – tag the location, attach an image, and send the report. Looking at the options, it looks to be possible to also report individuals who are not following quarantine rules.
It remains to be seen exactly when this new report feature will be available in MySejahtera, but given that COVID-19 restrictions are gradually easing nationwide, we reckon it will be pushed out to the app very soon. Once it’s live, you can update the MySejahtera app on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery.
