Capcom finally announced the release date for Monster Hunter Rise on PC. Set to be available on Steam next year on 13 January 2022, the Malaysian pricing of the game has also been revealed.
For the Malaysian market, the Standard Edition of Monster Hunter Rise on Steam is priced at RM248. If you want the Deluxe Edition instead, which includes a number of cosmetic items and gestures, that will set you back RM291.40.
Compared to Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch, the PC version naturally gets some nice upgrades. These include support for 4K resolution – it can even run in 21:9 for gamers with an ultrawide monitor – high-res textures, and support for voice chat.
On top of that, previously released DLCs for Rise on the Switch (until November 2021) will be available on PC at launch too. It’s worth noting that the Sunbreak add-on – which is said to be a “massive expansion” – will also be released on PC and Switch simultaneously sometime in Summer 2022.
If you want to give Monster Hunter Rise on PC a try first before pre-ordering it, good news: the trial version will be released in the next two weeks on 14 October 2021. The game is now available for pre-order on Steam from RM248.
