The Ginkgo65, a 65% custom keyboard made in collaboration with Wuque Studio – the folks behind the excellent Ikki68 Aurora – and M•ONE Studio, will enter the group buy phase tonight at 12AM. If you’re here in Malaysia, great news: local vendor Rebult Keyboards is the regional vendor for the Ginkgo65.
Pricing wise, the Ginkgo65 starts at RM1,053 from Rebult; this is quite close to the international pricing of $249 (about RM1,040). Of course, this price tag is for the Black x Copper, Green x Black, and Grey x Silver colourways. The E-White and E-White x Copper options, on the other hand, cost slightly more at RM1,095.
Given the feature set of the Ginkgo65, these prices are really quite competitive. After all, for that kind of money, this 65% custom keyboard has an all-aluminium case, an isolated gasket mount system for a softer, more comfortable typing experience, and quite a pleasant sound profile too.
Other specifications of the Ginkgo65 include a polycarbonate plate – other plate materials can be purchased as an add-on – a hotswap PCB, a PORON foam between the plate and PCB, a PE sheet between the switch and PCB, and another foam between the PCB and bottom case.
To recap, the group buy for the Ginkgo65 will go live at 12AM tonight on Rebult Keyboards until 10 October 2021; the keyboard is expected to be shipped to vendors from Wuque Studio in March or April 2022. More information on the Ginkgo65 can be found right here.
