Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 & Z Flip 3 Officially Launched in Malaysia From RM3,999

Samsung officially launched two of its brand new foldable smartphones here in Malaysia. Retailing from RM3,999, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 are the Korean company’s most affordable foldable phones yet; all pre-orders of the latter are even sold out right now.

For the Malaysian market, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs RM3,999 and RM4,199 for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. As for the larger, more sophisticated Z Fold 3, it retails at RM6,699 and RM7,099 for the 256GB and 512GB configurations respectively.

Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has gotten quite a bit more affordable with its RM6,699 starting price. On top of that, it offers a number of notable improvements too. These include a 4MP under display camera, a 120Hz 7.6-inch 2208 x 1768 Dynamic AMOLED 2X primary screen, and a 120Hz 6.2-inch 2268 x 832 cover screen.

Other specifications of the Z Fold 3 include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset, a triple camera system (12MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle + 12MP telephoto), a 10MP cover camera, a 4,400mAh battery, S Pen support, and of course, IPX8 water resistance rating.

As for the Z Flip 3, it’s also powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, and the foldable phone’s cover screen has also been upsized to a 1.9-inch 512 x 260 Super AMOLED panel. With more screen real estate, it can show more detailed notifications and widgets now.

Rounding out the hardware of the Z Flip 3 are a 6.7-inch 1080p Dynamic AMOLED 2X primary screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a dual camera system (12MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle), a 10MP selfie camera, a 3,300mAh battery, and an IPX8 water resistance rating.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is currently available for pre-order in Malaysia until 21 September with RM1,299 worth of freebies. Even though all pre-orders of the Z Fold 3 are sold out, you can still get RM1,649 worth of rewards by registering your interest for the foldable phone until 21 September 2021.
