Leaked iPhone 13 Case Renders Confirm Smaller Notch & New Camera Arrangement
September 14, 2021 Andrew Cheng

The iPhone 13 series is expected to be announced in less than 12 hours, and we’ve got (possibly) an early look at the new smartphones from some leaked renders. Not only does these images give us a glimpse of the smaller screen notch, it also confirms the new camera arrangement.

These leaked renders – which seem to be done by Spigen – were shared by renowned leaker Evan Blass. While the overall design of the iPhone 13 is similar to its predecessor, there are a number of subtle differences, such as the (aforementioned) smaller notch for a sleeker, more modern-looking phone.

The lens arrangement of the rear camera module is seemingly revised as well. Previously, the iPhone 12 – and in essence, the iPhone 12 mini too – had its two camera sensors arranged horizontally, but the iPhone 13 looks to be moving to a diagonal design, as confirmed by these renders.

Speaking of camera, the Pro models of the 2021 iPhones are also expected to be sporting an ultra-wide angle camera with autofocus capability. Usually, ultra-wide angle sensors have a fixed focus, so this is quite a good upgrade, even if Apple is not the first phone maker to do so.

We’ll find out for ourselves if this really is the final design of the iPhone 13 series once it is officially launched tonight at 1AM Malaysian time. There’s also a chance that Malaysia could be one of the first markets to get the new iPhones.
