Movie lovers, great news: Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) will be reopening 17 of its branches on Malaysia Day this Thursday on 16 September. These include a good number of locations in Klang Valley, as well as the Southern and Northern regions.

You can refer to the full list of GSC branches that are reopening this Thursday below. If your nearest GSC isn’t in the list, don’t worry: more locations will also reopen the following week on 23 September.

According to guidelines set out by the government for the reopening of cinemas, only fully vaccinated moviegoers are allowed entry. Aside from that, the hall capacity is also limited to 50% to ensure that physical distancing can be observed. It remains to be seen if GSC will implement other SOPs as well.

GSC has not released the full list of movies available when these 17 locations are reopening on 16 September, though it did say the movie lineup will be detailed soon. Do note that the opening date above is still subject to change, and more updates will be shared by the company on its social media pages.
