Uncharted 4 Is Remastered for the PS5 & PC in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
September 10, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Now this is interesting: Naughty Dog just revealed that Uncharted 4 – along with the Lost Legacy spin-off – will be coming to PS5 and PC in early 2022. Both of these games will be remastered for the two platforms in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

This is quite a big deal, given that this is the first time the Uncharted franchise is releasing on the PC. However, the Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released on the PS5 first. “The PC version is in development by our partners at Iron Galaxy and will release shortly after the PS5 version,” as Naughty Dog puts it.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is easily the best entry in the Uncharted franchise starring Nathan Drake, but it will be quite odd for PC gamers to jump into the series with the fourth instalment. After all, the first three Uncharted titles are not featured in the Legacy of Thieves Collection.

The same applies to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which follows Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross after the events of Uncharted 4. While Nadine is a new character introduced in the aforementioned game, Chloe made her debut in the series back in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. In fact, she did not make an appearance at all in Uncharted 4.

Nonetheless, it’s still great that PC players will finally be able to experience one of Naughty Dog’s best franchises with the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. But if you really want to get the full effect of the narrative, we’d recommend playing through the first three Uncharted titles first.

Or at the very least, get familiarised with the story that leads up to the events of Uncharted 4.
