Genshin Impact 2.1 is finally here! Aside from the addition of four new playable characters, including the much anticipated Raiden Shogun, Mihoyo also nerfed several monsters in response to players’ feedbacks.
The two monsters that are nerfed include the Pyro Hypostasis – I absolutely detest this fiery cube – and the Nobushi; wandering samurai that are found throughout Inazuma. Let’s start with the Pyro Hypostasis. When it does its Pyro pillar attack, the core is now exposed for a longer period of time, giving players more time to damage it.
Aside from that, the duration of the Pyro Hypostasis’ re-ignition skill has been increased too, so you won’t have to race against the clock as much to extinguish the Fire Seeds. If all Fire Seeds have been eliminated, the Pyro Hypostasis will also end its re-ignition skill earlier.
As for the Nobushi, three changes are made by Mihoyo. It will no longer perform the jump back attack, its sword-drawing technique has been optimised so that it’s easier for players to deal with, and more importantly, its weight (along with the bigger Kairagi) is reduced too.
The third change is particularly interesting, as it allows the Nobushi to be lifted by, say, Kaedehara Kazuha‘s Elemental Skill.
The Kairagi
It’s great that Mihoyo takes players’ feedbacks seriously and implement these changes as quickly as it did. I, for one, am looking forward to taking on the Pyro Hypostasis again – it’s an absolute nightmare to deal with in the current Spiral Abyss.
