Realme just launched a pretty interesting mid-range smartphone in Malaysia. The Realme GT Master Edition is touted to be one of the first phones to use “3D vegan leather” technology, which allows the device to have a unique textured back panel reminiscent of a “suitcase,” as Realme puts it.
This unique design is attributed to Naoto Fukasawa, who is collaborating with Realme yet again for the GT Master Edition. The Voyager Grey colourway of the phone has a curious-looking back panel, complete with Fukasawa’s signature. If you want a smoother, more conventional finish instead, there’s the Daybreak Blue colourway.
Anyway, let’s talk about the hardware of the GT Master. Sporting a 6.43-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch response rate for reduced latency, it’s a feature mobile gamers will appreciate. Aside from that, this phone is also powered by a reasonably fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset.
Other specifications of the GT Master include 8GB of RAM, a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 32MP selfie camera, 5G connectivity, as well as a 4,300mAh battery with support for 65W SuperDart fast charging.
For the Malaysian market, the Realme GT Master Edition is available in two configurations: the 128GB model costs RM1,499, while the 256GB variant retails at RM1,699. The former will be offered for RM1,399 during Lazada’s 9.9 sale, while the 256GB configuration will be bundled with a Realme soundbar worth RM129 on the same day.
