Genshin Impact Raiden Shogun Event Wish Coming 1 September With Kujou Sara, Xiangling, Sucrose
August 30, 2021 Andrew Cheng

The much anticipated event wish for the Raiden Shogun has been revealed! Set to go live in Genshin Impact on 1 September, the banner of the brand new 5-star Electro character will be accompanied by Kujou Sara – also a new 4-star Electro character – Xiangling, and Sucrose.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event wishes, the “drop rate” of Raiden Shogun, Sara, Xiangling, and Sucrose will be increased. In the case of Raiden Shogun, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be her. If you didn’t get her in this instance, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Raiden Shogun.

Genshin Impact’s pity system ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character or weapon every 90 wishes – depending on which banner you’re rolling – so you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Raiden Shogun. The same rule applies to 4-star units (guaranteed every 10-roll instead), but since there are three of them featured in the event wish, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Sara, Xiangling, or Sucrose. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters – especially Sara, given that she’s a brand new character – you will have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Raiden Shogun’s “Reign of Serenity” event wish will go live in Genshin Impact on 1 September this Wednesday right after the Version 2.1 update; her banner will be available until 21 September. After that, Sangonomiya Kokomi’s event wish will replace the Raiden Shogun’s banner.
