Huawei Nova 8 With 90Hz Curved OLED Screen Lands in Malaysia for RM1,899

Huawei just launched another mid-range smartphone here in Malaysia. Sporting a 90Hz curved OLED screen, the Huawei Nova 8 looks to be a rather premium device despite its mid-range positioning.

For the Malaysian market, the Nova 8 is available in only one variant, which retails at RM1,899. For that kind of money, this mid-ranger features 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, along with the aforementioned 6.57-inch 2340 x 1080 curved OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Aside from that, the Nova 8 is also powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 820E chipset. Built on a 7nm process, it should be quite power-efficient too. Paired with the phone’s 3,800mAh battery, it should be able to provide reasonably good battery life.

Other specifications of the Nova 8 include a quad camera system (64MP main + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro + 2MP depth), a 32MP selfie camera, and support for Huawei’s 66W SuperCharge technology. The company said this allows the phone’s 3,800mAh battery to be charged from empty to 60% in only 15 minutes.

The Huawei Nova 8 is now available for purchase in Malaysia for RM1,899. Every purchase of the mid-range phone will also come with an “entertainment gift package” worth RM189.
