Launched in India just last week, it appears the affordable Samsung Galaxy A03s will be coming to Malaysia soon. Packed with a generous 5,000mAh battery, this budget-friendly smartphone is ideal for those that want a long-lasting phone without breaking the bank.
In our routine search through SIRIM’s database, we noticed that Samsung Malaysia registered the Galaxy A03s with the model number SM-A037F/DS just today. Electronics have to be registered with SIRIM first before they can be officially sold here in Malaysia, so there’s a good chance the A03s will be made available locally soon.
One of the best selling points of the Galaxy A03s has to be its large 5,000mAh battery, which should be able to return above average battery life. Aside from that, it’s also powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. It’s not a particularly impressive chip, but this is an affordable phone – the chip should still be fast enough for everyday use.
Other specifications of the Galaxy A03s include a 6.5-inch 1600 x 620 display, a triple camera system (16MP primary + 2MP macro + 2MP depth), a 5MP selfie camera, up to 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
No word yet from Samsung Malaysia on the local availability of the Samsung Galaxy A03s. Given that it’s been registered with SIRIM already, we reckon it won’t be long until the affordable phone is officially available here.
