Sony’s latest mid-range smartphone, the Sony Xperia 10 III, is now available for pre-order in Malaysia. Retailing at RM1,199, it’s definitely on the higher-end of the price range for a mid-ranger, though it does come with a number of unique features, including a tall, narrow 21:9 screen and water resistance.
For that kind of money, the Xperia 10 III features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset, which should be faster and more power-efficient than its predecessor’s Snapdragon 665 chipset. After all, it’s built on an 8nm process instead of the Snapdragon 665’s 11nm process, which should translate to better battery life.
Other specifications of the Xperia 10 III include a compact 6-inch 2520 x 1080 OLED screen, a triple camera system (12MP f/1.8 primary + 8MP f/2.4 telephoto + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle), an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a generous 4,500mAh battery, and an IP65/IP68 rating.
To sweeten the deal, those who place a pre-order for the Xperia 10 III until 20 September will receive a Sony WI-C310 wireless earphones worth RM169 for free. Delivery of the phone is set to begin from 24 September, though Sony Malaysia said this is subject to change.
If you’re keen to pre-order the Sony Xperia 10 III for RM1,999, you can do so over at Sony Malaysia’s online store. Two colour options are available: Black and Blue.
