Earlier this month, Oppo introduced the Reno 6 and Reno 6 Z, and now, these two devices are joined by the range-topping Oppo Reno 6 Pro. As the highest-end phone in the series, it’s naturally the fastest device among the three, thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset.
Only one variant of the Reno 6 Pro is offered for the Malaysian market. Retailing at RM2,999, this phone features 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, along with 5G connectivity courtesy of the Snapdragon 870 chip. It’s worth noting that this SoC is basically a faster version of the Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s 2020 flagship processor.
In the camera department, the Reno 6 Pro has a reasonably sophisticated quad camera system. It’s made up of a 50MP main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide angle shooter, a 13MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, this phone features a 32MP selfie camera.
Other specifications of the Reno 6 Pro include a 6.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging, ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box, and two colour options: Arctic Blue and Lunar Grey.
The Oppo Reno 6 Pro is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 23 August for RM2,999. Early birds will also receive RM1,099 worth of freebies, including a pair of Oppo Enco Air wireless earbuds, a Marshall backpack, mug, and a one-year screen damage protection.
