Joining Samsung’s two new foldable phones (and smartwatch) is the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2. Available in a number of colourful designs, the new wireless earbuds also come with improved active noise cancellation and an affordable price tag.
According to Samsung, the new Buds 2’s active noise cancellation is able to cut off external background noise by up to 98%. The Ambient Sound mode has three levels too, giving you the ability to control how much of the outside world that you hear.
In terms of battery life, the Buds 2’s 61mAh battery can provide up to five hours of continuous playback with active noise cancellation switched on; 7.5 hours if ANC is disabled. With the included charging case, the battery life can be extended up to 20 hours or 29 hours with ANC off.
Speaking of which, the charging case of the Buds 2 also supports wireless charging. Otherwise, it can be charged through the USB-C connection. Aside from that, these wireless earbuds are also available in four colours: White, Graphite, Olive, and Lavender.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will be available in the US from 27 August onwards for $149; that’s about RM630. As usual, it remains to be seen exactly when these earbuds will be available in Malaysia, but it should be happening soon, given that the Buds 2 has been registered with SIRIM already.
