Xiaomi returns to the tablet market with the new Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro. Both tablets are relatively similar to each other with some high-end hardware under the hood, including fast 120Hz screens and Qualcomm’s flagship-level chipsets.
As the higher-end model, the Pad 5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset. It is essentially a faster version of the Snapdragon 865, so you can expect to get a good level of performance out of this tablet. The standard Pad 5, on the other hand, features a Snapdragon 860 chipset instead – an improved version of the Snapdragon 855.
Aside from that, both the Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro come with an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 TrueTone display – it can adjust the screen’s white balance to match ambient lighting – with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. These two tablets can be paired with a magnetic stylus and keyboard cover too, just like other notable tablets in the market now.
Other specifications of the Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro include a 13MP rear camera – the Pad 5 Pro adds on a 5MP depth sensor, while the 5G version of the same tablet has a 50MP primary shooter instead – an 8MP selfie camera, an 8,600mAh battery (the Pad 5 has a slightly larger 8,720mAh battery), 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage.

Anyway, in China, the Pad 5 retails from 1,999 Chinese yuan (about RM1,305), while the Pad 5 Pro starts at 2,499 yuan (approximately RM1,635).
