Samsung is set to unveil the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 this Wednesday on 11 August. Ahead of the two foldable phones’ launch, the President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung, TM Roh, revealed that the company’s next foldables will feature S Pen support and “enhanced durability.”
This was detailed in a blog post by Roh himself. At Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event set for this Wednesday, Roh said that the South Korean company will “share some foldable surprises – including the first-ever S Pen designed specifically for foldable phones.”
Chances are, this is a reference to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3, which has been rumoured for quite some time now to feature S Pen support. Roh added that “instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note this time around, we will further broaden beloved Note features to more Samsung Galaxy devices.”
Besides that, Roh also wrote in the blog post that Samsung’s third generation of foldable phones – which is likely the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 – will feature enhanced durability. The Z Flip 3, in particular, is said to bring “an even more refined style, armed with more durable, stronger materials.”
Evidently, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are shaping up to be pretty darn promising foldable smartphones. Stay tuned to Nextrift as we bring the latest news on these two phones – and more – come Samsung’s Unpacked event on 11 August at 10PM.
