Genshin Impact Yoimiya Banner Arrives 10 August With Sayu, Diona, Xinyan
August 8, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Yoimiya’s banner has been revealed! Set to go live in Genshin Impact on 10 August, the event wish of the brand new 5-star Pyo character will be accompanied by Sayu – also a new 4-star Anemo character – Diona, and Xinyan.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event banners, the “drop rate” of Yoimiya, Sayu, Diona, and Xinyan will be increased. In the case of Yoimiya, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be her. If you didn’t get her in this instance, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Yoimiya.

Genshin Impact’s pity system ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character or weapon every 90 wishes – depending on which banner you’re rolling – so you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Yoimiya. The same rule applies to 4-star units (guaranteed every 10-roll instead), but since there are three of them featured in the event wish, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Sayu, Diona, or Xinyan. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters – especially Sayu, given that she’s a brand new character – you will have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Yoimiya’s “Tapestry of Golden Flames” event wish will go live in Genshin Impact on 10 August this Tuesday at 6PM for us here in Malaysia. Her banner will be available until 31 August, and there’s a good chance the event wish of the Raiden ShogunSangonomiya Kokomi, and Kujou Sara will be offered next.
