Oppo Reno 6 & Reno 6 Z Arrive in Malaysia From RM1,699
August 5, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Oppo just launched two new mid-range smartphones in Malaysia, the Reno 6 and Reno 6 Z. Even though these are not flagship smartphones, they do look quite premium with a sleek design.

Let’s start with the higher-end Reno 6. Available in the sole 128GB configuration with 8GB of RAM, this mid-ranger retails at RM2,399 in Malaysia. For that kind of money, you’re also getting a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, which offers 5G connectivity too.

Rounding out the specifications of the Reno 6 are a 6.4-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 32MP selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as a 4,300mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

As for the Reno 6 Z, it’s quite a bit more affordable with a RM1,699 price tag. Given the phone’s more budget-friendly nature, its hardware aren’t quite as high-end as the standard Reno 6. Powering the Reno 6 Z, for one, is a 5G-capable Dimensity 800U chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Other specifications of the Reno 6 Z include a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, the same rear and front cameras as the Reno 6, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,310mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.

The Oppo Reno 6 and Reno 6 Z are now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 13 August. Both phones will hit store shelves the following day on 14 August 2021.
