2021 Proton Persona & Iriz Facelift Launching on 5 August
August 2, 2021 Andrew Cheng

We finally got official confirmation from Proton itself on the local launch of the 2021 Proton Persona and Iriz facelift. Set to be unveiled this Thursday on 5 August, the two new B-segment models were teased by the national carmaker on its social media pages.

As the video teaser below shows, the updated Iriz and Persona are sporting some new looks. Take the new Iriz: Proton seems to be teasing the “Active” variant of the B-segment hatchback, which is believed to be the crossover version.

Although it’s a little hard to tell, you can see the wheel arch extensions of the Iriz Active finished in black. It also has roof rails, a redesigned Infinite Weave grille, as well as Proton’s new circular logo. It even has a black and red colour scheme for the exterior and interior.

Based on previous spy shots, we also know that the updated Iriz and Persona will sport LED headlights, though they’re likely reserved for the higher-end trims. The updated 16-inch alloy wheels of the two cars can be seen too, along with the new floating infotainment system.

The online launch of the 2021 Proton Persona and Iriz facelift will take place on Proton’s Facebook page on 5 August at 11AM. You can also register your interest for these two new B-segment models right here.
