If you’re looking to get an affordable productivity laptop that won’t break the bank, consider the new Acer Swift 1. Retailing at only RM2,099 here in Malaysia, this is a pretty thin and light laptop as well.

Only one variant of the Swift 1 is offered in Malaysia. As mentioned, it retails at RM2,099, and for that kind of money, you’re getting a 14.95mm thin laptop that weighs only 1.3kg – it’s really quite a portable machine.

Given its affordable price tag, it’s no surprise that the Swift 1 is powered by an Intel Pentium Silver N6000 processor instead of Intel’s Core chips. Although the N6000 isn’t comparable to the Core series processors, it should still be fast enough for basic tasks such as web browsing.

Rounding out the specifications of the Swift 1 are a 14-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen, 4GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage ,and up to 16 hours of battery life. Just like the new Swift 3, the Swift 1 comes with the full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 as well.

To recap, the Acer Swift 1 retails at RM2,099 in Malaysia, and it will be available for purchase on 3 August next week from Shopee. From 3 to 4 August, the affordable laptop will be offered with a RM100 discount and a free Acer E300 TrueHarmony earphones worth RM199.
