Launched alongside the P50 Pro is the more affordable Huawei P50. Unlike the Pro model, which is offered with two SoC options, the regular P50 is only available with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, though there’s still no support for 5G networks.

Aside from that, the P50 does have the same design language as its Pro sibling, though its list of hardware isn’t quite as high-end. The P50’s display, for one, is just a regular 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED flat panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the P50 Pro features a 120Hz dual-curve screen.

In the camera department, the P50 has a triple camera system. It consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 12MP telephoto lens that can do up to 50x digital zoom. A reasonably good array of camera sensors.

Other specifications of the P50 include a 13MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, two storage options (128GB or 256GB), a 4,100mAh battery, an IP68 rating, and HarmonyOS 2 based on Android out of the box.

Available only in China at the moment, the Huawei P50 retails at 4,488 Chinese yuan (about RM2,945) and 4,988 yuan (approximately RM3,275) for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. No word yet on whether or not the P50 will be sold in markets outside of China.
