Poco X3 GT With 120Hz Screen & 5,000mAh Battery Arrives in Malaysia From RM1,299
July 28, 2021 Andrew Cheng

The new Poco X3 GT has just been launched in Malaysia. As expected, it is basically the global version of the China-only Redmi Note 10 Pro. Like other Poco-branded smartphones, the new mid-ranger offers good value for money too.

For the Malaysian market, two variants of the X3 GT are offered. The base model with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM retails at RM1,299, while the 256GB configuration with the same amount of RAM costs RM1,599. Reasonably good price tags for a mid-range phone of this calibre.

For that kind of money, the Poco X3 Pro is quite well-equipped. Not only does it feature a fast 6.6-inch 1080p IPS screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, it is also powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. This chip is one of the chipmaker’s higher-end offerings, so it should be able to offer a good level of performance.

Other specifications of the X3 GT include a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 16MP selfie camera, a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, as well as MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The Poco X3 GT will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 3 August onwards. To reward early birds, those who get the phone on 3 or 4 August will receive a pretty noteworthy discount. The 128GB will go for only RM1,199 (instead of RM1,299) on these two days, while the 256GB model will retail at only RM1,399 – a total of RM200 discount.
