Huawei MatePad 11 With HarmonyOS 2 Now in Malaysia From RM1,999
July 27, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Huawei just launched its latest tablet in Malaysia, the Huawei MatePad 11. Running on HarmonyOS 2 with a reasonably fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and an equally fast 120Hz screen, the MatePad 11 is a relatively affordable tablet too.

For the Malaysian market, two variants of the MatePad 11 are offered. The base model with 128GB of storage retails at RM1,999, while the 256GB configuration costs RM2,399. Those who pre-order the tablet by 5 August will also receive RM1,207 worth of freebies, including the second generation Huawei M-Pencil and a magnetic keyboard case.

According to Huawei, the MatePad 11 is the company’s first tablet to ship with a 120Hz screen. The 10.95-inch display itself is quite sharp too with a 2560 x 1600 WQXGA resolution IPS panel, so you’re getting a good quality screen with this tablet.

Aside from that, the MatePad 11 is also powered by the aforementioned Snapdragon 865 chipset. Granted, it’s not the newest or fastest SoC in the market now, but it’s still a very capable processor. After all, it was Qualcomm’s 2020 flagship chipset.

Rounding out the specifications of the MatePad 11 include a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, a sizeable 7,250mAh battery, and it runs on HarmonyOS 2 – still based on Android – out of the box.

The Huawei MatePad 11 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 5 August 2021. To recap, the 128GB model costs RM1,999, while the 256GB variant retails at RM2,399.
