Genshin Impact Ayaka Banner Coming on 21 July With Yanfei, Ningguang, Chongyun
July 19, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Kamisato Ayaka’s banner is finally confirmed! Set to go live in Genshin Impact on 21 July right after the Version 2.0 update, the event wish of the brand new 5-star Cryo character will be accompanied by Yanfei, Ningguang, as well as Chongyun.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event banners, the “drop rate” of Ayaka, Yanfei, Ningguang, and Chongyun will be increased. In the case of Ayaka, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be her. If you didn’t get her in this instance, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Ayaka.

Genshin Impact’s pity system ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character or weapon every 90 wishes – depending on which banner you’re rolling – so you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Ayaka. The same rule applies to 4-star units (guaranteed every 10-roll instead), but since there are three of them featured in the event wish, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Yanfei, Ningguang, or Chongyun. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters, you will have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Ayaka’s “The Heron’s Court” event wish will go live in Genshin Impact on 21 July this Wednesday for us here in Malaysia; right after the Version 2.0 update. Her banner will be available until 10 August, and Yoimiya’s event wish (as well as Sayu) will be offered after that.
