New Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 Variant May Retail at RM2,999 in Malaysia
July 15, 2021 Andrew Cheng

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 was launched in Malaysia just a few weeks ago, but come next month, a new, more affordable variant of the gaming phone will be arriving here. Set to be available sometime in early August 2021, it’s a unique phone with two physical cooling fans.

Currently, the Legion Phone Duel 2 is offered in two configurations: 512GB + 16GB (RM3,899) and 256GB + 12GB (RM3,299). The new model that will be available here next month, on the other hand, has half the internal storage at 128GB with 12GB RAM for only RM2,999, though we were told this is a tentative pricing.

For that kind of money, you’re getting a powerful gaming smartphone. The Legion Phone Duel 2 is powered by a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, and it is complemented by an equally fast 6.92-inch 1080p AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate for an even more enjoyable gaming experience.

Other specifications of the Legion Phone Duel 2 include a side-mounted 44MP pop-up selfie camera, a dual camera system (64MP primary + 16MP ultra-wide angle), as well as an absolutely generous 5,500mAh battery with support for blazing fast 90W fast charging. This can supposedly charge up the phone to 50% from empty in only 12 minutes.

To recap, the new Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 model with 128GB of storage will arrive here in Malaysia sometime in early August 2021 next month for (possibly) RM2,999. If it does eventually retail at that price point, it’s really quite competitive for a gaming phone of this calibre.
