Secretlab is known for its range of high-end gaming chairs, and the company is streamlining its product lineup with one brand new chair. Enter the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 series: not only is it touted to be the company’s most “technologically advanced chair to date,” it is also available in three sizes.
Instead of offering different chairs at different sizes – I even reviewed a smaller Secretlab chair dubbed Throne in the past – there is now only the Titan Evo in three sizes: small, regular, and XL. The smallest one retails from S$499 (about RM1,545), while the regular and XL models start at S$549 (approximately RM1,700) and S$639 (around RM1,980) respectively.
What makes the Titan Evo particularly unique is its use of magnets for two major components: the armrests and head pillow. That’s right, the memory foam head pillow no longer uses straps to be affixed to the chair; it will just snap into place with the help of custom embedded magnets. It can be adjusted up or down to find for the best fit too.
As for the magnetic armrests, they just snap onto the full-metal 4D base with the use of neodymium magnets. This makes it easy to change the material of the armrests to whatever catches your fancy as more materials are introduced by Secretlab in the future – it’s quite an ingenious design.
Just like the Titan, the new Titan Evo has a built-in lumbar support as well, though it uses an updated design. The new 4-way L-ADAPT lumbar support system can be moved up and down – as well as in and out – with a knob to the side of the chair. Using a “lattice of living hinges,” it promises total support for your back for maximum comfort.
Other features of the Titan Evo include a proprietary sculpted pebble seat base for optimal ergonomic support, three choices of material (PU leather, higher-end Napa leather, or SoftWeave Plus fabric) which determines the price of the chair, and of course, the use of cold-cure foam mix that lends to a firm, comfortable sitting experience.
The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 series is now available for purchase in Malaysia in a wide variety of designs and material choices, though the Napa leather option is currently unavailable. If you’re keen to get this chair, you can do so over at the company’s online store.
