Launched alongside the Nova 8i are two Huawei premium monitors, the Huawei MateView and Huawei MateView GT. The former is a premium 4K monitor, while the GT is a curved ultrawide gaming monitor.
Out of the two, the MateView GT is the more affordable monitor. Retailing at RM2,488, it sports a 34-inch 3440 x 1440 VA panel with a wide 21:9 aspect ratio. It also has a 1500R curvature, and given that this is a gaming-centric monitor, it features a fast 165Hz refresh rate as well. Interestingly, it has a built-in stereo soundbar too.
As for the MateView 4K monitor, which is priced at RM2,988, it’s catered to creative professionals who need accurate colour reproduction. The MateView’s 28.2-inch 3840 x 2560 IPS screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and it supports HDR400 as well.
Other notable features of the MateView include an impressive 94% screen-to-body ratio – which lends to a sleek, modern-looking design – a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and just like the MateView GT, this monitor has built-in speakers too (along with dual microphones), though it’s not a soundbar.
Both the Huawei MateView (RM2,988) and Huawei MateView GT (RM2,488) will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 7 July. Early birds who pre-order either one of these two monitors will also receive a RM100 instant rebate, along with a complimentary Huawei WiFi AX3 (Dual-Core) router.
