Just as promised, the Huawei Nova 8i has just been launched in Malaysia. Sporting a fast 66W fast charging with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, it’s quite a sleek-looking mid-range smartphone too.
Only one variant of the Nova 8i is offered in Malaysia. The sole 128GB variant with 8GB of RAM retails at RM1,299, and it is offered in three distinct colours: Interstellar Blue, Moonlight Silver, and Starry Black.
As mentioned, one of the main highlights of the Nova 8i has to be its 66W fast charging. According to Huawei, the phone’s 4,300mAh battery can be charged up to 60% in only 17 minutes. A full charge, on the other hand, takes only 38 minutes.
In the camera department, the Nova 8i features a quad camera configuration. It’s made up of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. All in all, a reasonably good camera setup for a mid-range smartphone.
Other specifications of the Nova 8i include a 6.67-inch 2376 x 1080 screen with a impressive 94.7% screen-to-body ratio, a Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, as well as a 16MP selfie camera.
To recap, the Huawei Nova 8i retails at RM1,299, and it will be available for pre-order from tomorrow onwards on 7 July.
