Acer just unveiled a new variant of its budget-oriented gaming laptop, the Acer Nitro 5. Powered by Intel’s latest Tiger Lake-H processors with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, it’s a reasonably powerful gaming laptop.
Two Intel variants of the Nitro 5 are available in Malaysia. The base model with a Core i5-11400H processor paired with 8GB of RAM retails at RM4,799, while the faster Core i7-11800H configuration with 16GB of RAM costs RM5,699.
Aside from the different processor and RAM capacities, but models of the Nitro 5 have the same specifications, including the same RTX 3060 GPU with 6GB of GDDR6 memory and 85W TGP. Even though the TGP isn’t particularly high, it should be able to run most, if not all AAA games with no issue.
Other hardware of the Nitro 5 include a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 512GB of SSD storage, a 23.9mm chassis that tips the scales at 2.2kg, along with a two-year local warranty; the first year is an international warranty too.
The RM5,699 Core i7 model of the Acer Nitro 5 is now available for purchase in Malaysia, and those who get it by 9 July will also receive a complimentary Acer Gateway FAE-i5 pro wireless earbuds worth RM239. The RM4,799 Core i5 configuration of the gaming laptop, on the other hand, will arrive here by the end of July 2021.
