Samsung just launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in Malaysia. Despite being an entry-level device, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G does have a number of interesting features, including a 90Hz screen and a generous 5,000mAh battery.
Only one variant of the Galaxy A22 is offered for the Malaysian market. Featuring 128GB of expandable storage with 8GB of RAM, this smartphone retails at only RM999. On top of that, those who purchase the phone by 31 August will also receive a free casing worth RM39.
Like most phones in the market now, the Galaxy A22 has a reasonably fast 6.6-inch 1080p LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It should offer above average battery life too with its 5,000mAh battery, which also supports 15W fast charging.
Other specifications of the Galaxy A22 include a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset with 5G connectivity, a triple camera system (48MP primary + 5MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP depth), an 8MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and One UI Core 3.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is now available for purchase in Malaysia for RM999. It is offered in three different colours: Grey, Violet, and Mint.
