The Dell UltraSharp 4K Webcam Can Keep You in Frame Automatically – Now in Malaysia for RM1,112
June 30, 2021 Andrew Cheng

It seems like we’ll be working from home for quite a bit longer in this pandemic, so if you’re in the market for a webcam, consider the brand new Dell UltraSharp 4K webcam. Not only does it promise the best image quality in its class, the UltraSharp can even automatically keep you in frame.

By leveraging AI, the UltraSharp is able to keep you centered in the frame. If you move off-centre, the webcam will slowly pan to keep you in the centre of the frame again. It’s quite a smart implementation, and it’s a feature not offered by any of its competition right now.

As mentioned, the UltraSharp promises the best image quality when compared to other 4K webcams. It uses a Sony STARVIS CMOS 8.3MP sensor, and it can record or stream at 4K resolution at 30 or 24 frames per second. If the resolution is set to 1080p or 720p, you can even crank up the frame rate to 60fps.

Other noteworthy specifications of the UltraSharp webcam include support for Windows Hello, HDR capability, three different viewing angles – 65°, 78°, or 90° – up to 5x digital zoom with autofocus, as well as a magnetic privacy cover that can be used to cover up the lens when it’s not in use.

If you’re keen to get your hands on the Dell UltraSharp 4K webcam, you can do so right now over at Dell’s Malaysian online store. Retailing at RM1,112, it’s definitely not an affordable webcam, though its feature set may be able to justify the asking price for certain folks.
