Xiaomi Malaysia launched quite a number smartphones with the Poco, Redmi, as well as its own Xiaomi branding over the past couple of months. Well, it appears another device is on the horizon: the (unreleased) Poco X3 GT will likely make its Malaysian debut soon.
We spotted the Poco X3 GT in our routine search through SIRIM’s database. The upcoming smartphone was registered under Xiaomi Malaysia just yesterday on 24 June with the model number 21061110AG, suggesting that the device could be sold here in Malaysia very soon.
Based on previous leaks and rumours, the Poco X3 GT is believed to be the global variant of the China-only Redmi Note 10 Pro. Despite sporting the exact same name, it is actually a different device from the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which was launched in Malaysia a few months back in March.
Anyway, if that’s the case, the Poco X3 GT will feature a 6.6-inch 1080p IPS screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, as well as MIUI 12 (based on Android 11) out of the box.
In the camera department, it should come with a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro) along with a 16MP selfie camera.
No word yet from Xiaomi Malaysia on the local availability of the Poco X3 GT. Rest assured, we will keep a close eye on the Malaysian launch of the mid-range smartphone.
