OnePlus Nord CE 5G Lands in Malaysia From RM1,399
June 14, 2021 Andrew Cheng

We spotted the OnePlus Nord CE 5G in SIRIM’s database just last week, and we just heard from OnePlus Malaysia that the mid-range device will be officially available on our shores soon. Of course, its retail prices have been revealed as well, and as expected, it’s more affordable than the original Nord.

Two variants of the Nord CE 5G are available in Malaysia. The base model features 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM for RM1,399, while the more generous 256GB variant with 12GB of RAM costs RM1,799. Interestingly, those who pre-order the 256GB model from 21 to 25 June on Shopee can get it with a RM200 discount, bringing down the price to RM1,599.

While its design looks strikingly similar to the original Nord, the Nord CE 5G does have a number of differences. For one, it ships with a slightly slower Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset instead of the Nord’s Snapdragon 765G processor. That being said, the Nord CE 5G does have a larger 4,500mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T Plus.

Other specifications of the Nord CE 5G include a 6.43-inch 1080p Fluid AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP depth), a 16MP selfie camera, and OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.

To recap, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be available for pre-order on Shopee from 21 to 25 June. During the pre-order period, the 256GB model will be priced at RM1,599 instead of RM1,799; a RM50 voucher and a Nord-branded cap will also be thrown in for the first 100 customers.

While the 128GB variant of the Nord CE 5G doesn’t get a price discount – it will still be listed at RM1,399 – a RM30 voucher and the same Nord cap will be given to the first 150 pre-orders.
