June 3, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Suunto is known for its range of sport-centric smartwatches, and the Finnish company’s latest product, the Suunto 9 Peak, is arriving in Malaysia very soon. Based on the much chunkier Suunto 9 Baro, the Peak is a much more modern-looking smartwatch, though it also carries a rather steep asking price.

Set to arrive in Malaysia on 17 June, the Suunto 9 Peak is offered in two main variants. The more affordable model, which comes with a stainless steel case, retails at RM2,799 in All Black and Moss Grey. The titanium version, on the other hand, costs RM3,199, and it’s available in Granite Blue and Birch White.

At these price points, the Suunto 9 Peak is undoubtedly an expensive smartwatch, but it does come with a number of feature sports enthusiasts will appreciate. It can track up to 80 different sports, it has GPS navigation, and of course, it can measure heart rate and blood oxygen level as well.

Other specifications of the Suunto 9 Peak include up to 170 hours of battery life – 25 hours with GPS switched on – fast charging support (only one hour for a full charge), a 240 x 240 screen with automatic backlighting, a sapphire crystal glass, as well as up to 100m water resistance.

The Suunto 9 Peak will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 17 June onwards on Shopee, Lazada, as well as physical retailers. To recap, it retails at RM2,799 and RM3,199 for the stainless steel and titanium models respectively. More information on the smartwatch can be found over here.
