Mihoyo just revealed a plethora of new information regarding Version 1.6 of Genshin Impact. Set to arrive on 9 June, the new update will introduce a new 5-star Anemo character, Kaedehara Kazuha, who also happens to be the first playable character from Inazuma. On top of that, Klee’s bannner will make a return too.
Klee’s Event Wish will be released first come 9 June, while Kazuha’s banner will arrive immediately after. Aside from these Event Wishes, Jean and Barbara – as we’ve pointed out in our previous article – will be getting their own summer-themed outfits too; this is the first time alternate attires are introduced in Genshin Impact.
The special summer-themed outfit for Barbara, “Summertime Sparkle,” will be free to claim by completing an in-game event. Jean’s “Sea Breeze Dandelion” outfit, on the other hand, is available for purchase through the in-game shop with a limited-time discount. Of course, after the discount period, the outfit will still be available in the shop, albeit at full price.
There are also other changes coming to Genshin Impact 1.6, including the ability to place characters that you own in your Serenitea Pot realm. Characters in the realm will gradually gain Character Companionship Experience as well, and the rate will be increased the higher your Adeptal Energy Rank is.
Mihoyo also gave us even more concept arts of Inazuma, the third major city in Genshin Impact that will be added sometime in the future. Kamisato Ayaka – a 5-star Cryo character that initially appeared in the closed beta of the game – was also introduced in the Version 1.6 livestream.
Given that Mihoyo is revealing more details on Inazuma – as well as finally introducing Ayaka – there’s a good chance the new region and character will make it into Genshin Impact very soon. Perhaps both will be released at the same time, given that Ayaka is also from Inazuma.
Version 1.6 of Genshin Impact will arrive on 9 June 2021. Quite a number of in-game events will also be available once the new update is live.
