We spotted both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro over at SIRIM earlier this month, and the two flagship smartphones are now officially available in Malaysia. Packing Hasselblad-branded cameras and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chipsets, these are pretty interesting high-end phones.
Only a single variant of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are available in Malaysia; both of them are offered with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM for RM3,699 and RM4,299 respectively. Interestingly, the Pro variant is bundled with a number of accessories as well.
These include the OnePlus Buds wireless earbuds, a 65W fast charger, a 50W wireless charger, as well as a casing.
The highlight of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro has to be their Hasselblad-branded cameras, which promises to deliver natural-looking colours. Both devices have similar camera configurations as well – they have a 48MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide angle shooter, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a 16MP selfie camera.
However, the OnePlus 9 Pro does come with an extra 8MP telephoto lens. On top of that, the Pro model also has a more impressive 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The regular OnePlus 9, on the other hand, features a more pedestrian (but still 120Hz) 6.55-inch 1080p AMOLED panel.
Other specifications of both flagships include the aforementioned Snapdragon 888 processor, a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging, as well as Android 11 out of the box.
The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro will be available for purchase in Malaysia tomorrow on 18 May. The standard model will be sold on Shopee for RM3,699, while the Pro variant is available on Lazada with a RM4,299 price tag.
