Genshin Impact Eula Banner Arrives 18 May With Beidou, Xingqiu & Xinyan
May 16, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Mihoyo just revealed Eula’s banner for Genshin Impact, a new 5-star Cryo character wielding a claymore. Set to arrive in the game this Tuesday on 18 May, she will be accompanied by Beidou, Xingqiu, as well as Xinyan.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event banners, the “drop rate” of Eula, Beidou, Xingqiu, and Xinyan will be increased. In the case of Eula, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be her. If you didn’t get her in this instance, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Eula.

Since Genshin Impact’s pity system ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character or weapon every 90 wishes – depending on which banner you’re rolling – you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed chance to get Eula. The same rule applies to 4-star characters (guaranteed every 10 roll instead), but given that there are three of them featured in the event banner, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Beidou, Xingqiu, or Xinyan. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters, you will have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Eula’s “Born of Ocean Swell” banner will go live in Genshin Impact on 18 May at 6PM for us here in Malaysia; the banner will be available until 8 June. Zhongli’s banner will be replaced by Eula’s then, so roll for him before that if you’re keen to get the 5-star Geo character.
