Seems like we’re getting more interior shots of the 2021 Proton Iriz Active, which is believed to be the crossover version of the B-segment hatchback. While its interior looks very similar to the 2021 Proton Persona facelift, there are some notable differences here, such as the black and red colour scheme.
These alleged images of the Iriz Active’s interior come from local automotive site Funtasticko, and it looks quite sporty. Not only are there red trims on the bottom of the air-conditioning vents, centre console, and steering controls, the seats have red stitching as well.
Aside from that, there also seem to be aluminium pedals, digital air-conditioning controls, and a floating infotainment screen.
Looking at a different leaked image of the Iriz Active from Automachi, it’s evident that the analog instrument cluster has red highlights too, along with the side air-conditioning vents and red stitching on the steering wheel. According to Automachi, the Iriz Active may get the Proton X50‘s Citric Orange paint job as well.
All in all, the interior of the Iriz Active looks to be more upmarket and premium compared to the current generation Iriz. Although the pictures do not show it, the new B-segment model supposedly comes with bright red seat belts too. Unfortunately, rumours are suggesting that the engine and CVT transmission of the new Iriz are unchanged, though they may be retuned.
Now that more images of the 2021 Proton Iriz Active have made it onto the internet, we expect Proton to officially unveil the new B-segment model very soon. Chances are, it will debut alongside the 2021 Proton Persona facelift as well – we will keep a close eye on any official announcements from Proton.
