It’s finally official: Disney+ Hotstar will start streaming here in Malaysia come 1 June 2021. Not only does the streaming service offer a wide variety of content owned by Disney – including the Marvel franchise – Malaysian movies and series will also be available on the platform.

So how much does Disney+ Hotstar cost in Malaysia? Well, it’s priced at RM54.90 for three months, so you’re effectively paying RM18.30 per month. With an active subscription, you can watch on two screens at the same time across a range of devices. The majority of content on the platform are available to download as well.

Aside from content from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar, Disney+ Hotstar also offers “a huge library of award-winning Malaysian cinema releases and homegrown hits.” These include J2: J Retribusi, Zombitopia, Ada Hantu, Ejen Ali, as well as Upin & Ipin. It’s worth noting that Astro Movies Pack customers will get a special entitlement too, though no details were given yet.
