Huawei just launched a slew of new laptops in Malaysia. These include the MateBook 14, MateBook D 14, MateBook D 15, as well as the top-of-the-line laptop in the series, the premium MateBook X Pro. Naturally, all of these laptops – except for the MateBook D 14 – feature Intel’s latest 11th generation processors, and they’re quite sleek-looking too.
The most affordable machine in the series is the MateBook D 15, which retails from RM3,299 for the 10th generation Core i5-10210U configuration with Intel’s integrated UHD Graphics 620. If you want better CPU and GPU performances, you can opt for the Core i5-1135G7 model with Intel Iris Xe Graphics for RM3,899.
If you want a 14-inch laptop instead, there’s the MateBook D 14. It retails at RM3,499 with a Core i5-10210U processor.
And then there’s the more premium MateBook 14. While the aforementioned laptops are equipped with a 1080p screen, the MateBook 14 features a sharper 14-inch 2160 x 1440 touch-enabled screen and a Core 15-1135G7 processor. Of course, this means it’s quite a bit more costly too, retailing at RM4,899.
Last but certainly not least is the range-topping MateBook X Pro. Offered in only one variant, it comes with a 13.9-inch 3000 x 2000 touch-enabled display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, making it ideal for productivity tasks. Aside from that, it is also equipped with a Core i5-1135G7 processor, Iris Xe Graphics, and a RM6,899 price tag.
It’s worth noting that regardless of which 2021 MateBook you purchase, you will get 512GB of SSD storage and 16GB of RAM – very practical capacities.
The Huawei MateBook 2021 series is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 23 April; it will hit store shelves the very next day on 24 April. Those who place a pre-order by 23 April will also receive up to RM800 worth of freebies, including a one-year subscription to Microsoft 365, a Huawei-branded backpack, and a “city travel gift package.” Those who purchase the MateBook 14 or MateBook X Pro will also get a Huawei Bluetooth mouse.
