Genshin Impact 1.5 Arrives 28 April With PS5 Version – Eula, Yanfei, Housing System Confirmed
April 18, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Mihoyo revealed a slew of Genshin Impact news recently. Not only do we have a release date for Version 1.5 of Genshin Impact (28 April), the developer also announced that the PlayStation 5 version of the hit game will be arriving on the same day. On top of that, two new characters – Eula and Yanfei – will be added to the game too.

Let’s start with the new characters. Eula is a 5-star Cryo character that wields a claymore, while Yanfei is a 4-star Pyro character that uses a catalyst. According to Mihoyo, Eula will get her own banner in Version 1.5, while Yanfei will be featured in Zhongli’s banner – that’s right, Zhongli will be available to roll again in the new update.

Aside from that, a new item called “Serenitea Pot” will be introduced in Version 1.5 of Genshin Impact as well. Basically, it’s your own personal realm where you can build your own “house” and decorate it accordingly. In terms of gameplay, a number of improvements will be made too, such as reducing the amount of original resin required to claim rewards from the weekly bosses to 30 resin (Dvalin, Andrius, Childe).

Speaking of bosses, a new weekly boss will also be added once Version 1.5 is live. Dubbed Azhdaha, the “Lord of Vishaps,” he will likely play a central role in Zhongli’s second story quest. Aside from that, there will be a new world boss as well, the Cryo Hypostasis. Just like the other Hypostasis in the game, the new boss will drop materials for character ascensions.

As for the native version of Genshin Impact for PS5, it will support 4K resolution, enhanced textures, and faster loading times.

To top it all off, Mihoyo even teased Inazuma in a number of concept arts, which will be introduced as a new region in Genshin Impact sometime in the future. It’s great that Mihoyo is adding so much new content in Version 1.5 of the game come 28 April to keep the experience fresh, and if you’re not sure if the game is for you or not, check out our long-term review of Genshin Impact right here.
