Acer Malaysia just launched six new variants of the budget-centric Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop locally. Powered by AMD’s new Ryzen 5000 processors, this laptop’s range-topping configuration even comes with a beefy Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU – a first for the Nitro 5 series.
Let’s break down the prices of the six new Nitro 5 models, starting with the RTX 3080 configuration. Retailing at RM8,999, this variant features the aforementioned GPU, a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor paired with 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage, and a fast 165Hz 15.6-inch QHD IPS screen.
And then there are the RTX 3070 configurations of the Nitro 5. Two models are offered: the variant with a 165Hz QHD screen retails at RM6,399, while the 144Hz FHD model costs RM5,799. Only the screen differentiates the two model; both are powered by a Ryzen 7 5800H processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
Moving down the price range is the Nitro 5 with an RTX 3060 GPU. The sole RM4,899 variant also has a Ryzen 7 5800H processor paired with 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 144Hz FHD IPS screen. Last but not least are the GTX 1650 models: the Ryzen 7 5800H model costs RM4,199, while the base model with a Ryzen 5 5600H chip goes for RM3,699.
Beyond the different processor, both GTX 1650 models feature a 144Hz FHD IPS screen, 512GB of SSD storage, and 8GB of RAM.
